Parksley most noteably known for, being one of the only planned towns on the Eastern Shore of Virginia was built entirely around the newly formed railroad in the late 1800s. Visit Parksley today and you can revisit some of the towns history at the local Eastern Shore Railway Museum, where you will find cars that have been donated and restored.
